Sidelights almost steal spotlight from Sam Pinto at FHM victory party

Popular men’s magazine FHM’s Victory Party held at the World Trade Center in Pasay, July 14, proved to be a success with a huge crowd of well-wishers coming in droves to usher actress-model Sam Pinto’s entry as this year’s No. 1 “Sexiest Woman.”

Pinto was bestowed the title over more popular celebrities Marian Rivera (No. 2), Angel Locsin (No. 3), Cristine Reyes (No. 4) and Solenn Heussaff, (No. 5) after a three-month long poll conducted by the magazine online and through SMS.

Not surprisingly, Rivera, Locsin, Reyes and Heussaff were no-shows at the event.

Among a throng of other celebrities eager to help celebrate Pinto’s triumph is actress Katrina Halili, who is ranked sixth in the magazine’s sexiest list for 2011.

Meanwhile, actress Michelle Madrigal (No. 25) got the crowd excited with a scintillating cabaret number.

Following Madrigal’s lead were Daiana Menezes (No. 44) and Iwa Moto (No. 8)—whose well-applauded striptease routine offered double the fun.

Among other celebrities who received the biggest cheers from the crowd by simply appearing onstage were Bianca Manalo (No. 18), Regine Angeles (No. 19), Misa Campo (No. 32) and Janna Dominguez (No. 42).

Loud applause also greeted hot mommas Aubrey Miles (No. 34) and Eula Valdez (No. 46).

But the crowd allowed for an even louder roar for scene-stealer Jahziel Manabat (No. 68).

Manabat, a model,  had a wardrobe malfunction of sorts that allowed the throng a peek at her nipple.

She tried to adjust her top second into her stage march when she realized that it was slipping lower than it should be, but by then it was too late---thousands of cameras had already clicked away.

Seemingly failing expectations is Stef Prescott (No. 62), who looked very much unlike her svelte self—as seen on the July issue of the magazine.

Others who paraded their wares at the event were Mercedes Cabral (No. 100), Jem Milton (No. 99), Saicy Aguila (No. 87), Sheree (No. 82), Alyssa Alano (No. 76), Paw Diaz (No. 73), Aze Sasaki (No. 70), Paulene So (No. 59), Jacq Yu (No. 54), Wendy Valdez (No. 53), Paloma (No. 52), Niña Jose (No. 51) Jef Gaitan (No. 48) and Ornusa Cadness (No. 30).

Last to glide on the ramp is Pinto herself – wearing a red corset with matching skirt --looking as lovely as she does on TV.

She was cheered by all and sundry amid a rain of glittering confetti.

Prior, fans were allowed to roam the ginormous venue where show sponsors put up a number of specially-designed booths where anyone could have their pictures taken with the models.

The same models—courtesy of show sponsors Belo Men, San Miguel Beer, Citizen Watches, RRJ, Petron and Premiere Condoms—also performed various numbers in the show.

Notably, there was a commotion at the exit after the show, as reporters crowded one of the models, the one supposedly involved in the "rape rumor" involving four players of the popular football team, Azkals.

Not that she's talking.

"Wala akong comment muna," she was overheard as saying. "I'm still waiting for the advice of my lawyers. For now, tahimik lang muna ako."

She also sneered at the rumor supposedly being a part of an elaborate gimmick.

Apparently the still-unnamed model was supposed to be part of the FHM presentation. She was reportedly pulled-out for reasons yet unclear. Article source MB.com.ph
